The Dog Ate My What???

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!! Danny and I are finally a little more unpacked but with all the moving we are exhausted hence the lack of blogging! :(

In the process of moving things were scattered about and all over the floor including my bridal heels that I loved. Yes I just said loved because my 9 month old bulldog puppy decided to eat them while we ran an errand. We got back and Danny saw the shoe, brought it to me, and the crying ensued. There was no way to fix it, my dress had been hemmed to that height- I had to have the same shoes. Danny searched the Internet for those shoes but they were not in any DSW stores here in Omaha, I could order them but what if they didn't get here in time?

They are awful-huh?

Thank goodness my mom came up to help us move and we found some very similar shoes that were the same heel height! These shoes are put away way up high so that Daisy can't get to them!

I put the stickers on from YourHappilyEverAfter Etsy Store!! They are my something blue!
Did anything happen to your wedding stuff days before the big day!?

Tu-Tu Making

Happy Thursday!! Today I am so excited to share with you the tu-tu that Ashley made. Ashley will be marrying my cousin Tony in October in Mexico. It will be a beautiful beach wedding!!

Ashley is a dance instructor and when I told her I wanted my flower girl to wear a tu- tu she jumped on board! We still need to get a cute little leotard or shirt or something but that won't be too hard in Omaha! So here it is- it is pink and grey! Love it!!

The pictures are from an i-pod cam so not the greatest but I wanted my mom to send them so I could share these with you!! You will get to see the whole outfit after the wedding, with Anna's professional pictures! So excited! What are you having your flower girl wear?

Let Me Call You Sweetheart- Our table!

Happy Wednesday! We've made it to the middle of the week- and so quickly!!

Awhile back I posted about a sweetheart table- find it here! I love this idea and it gives us a little time by ourselves to eat dinner. My mom and I went to Hobby Lobby this last week and picked up quite a few things including little decorations for our very own sweetheart table!

We found Mr. & Mrs. letters- I think these will look adorable!

We also found a "We- are blessed" which I love because we truly are so blessed by our family and friends!
I am also planning to have my bouquet in a vase as well as a candle centerpiece at our table. 15 days!!

Pretty in Pink-Dyed petticoat

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!

I finally was able to dye my petticoat to wear under my wedding dress this past week and wanted to share it with you! It was relatively easy but I do suggest getting some help! Both my mom and dad helped me!!

All I used:
-A package of RIT dye
-Washing Machine
-Bowl and spoon
-petticoat

Put the petticoat into the washing machine. Make sure it is hot water( the hot water will set the color). Get the petticoat nice and wet- I let it soak for about five minutes while we mixed the dye!

Take the petticoat out of the washer and put it in a bin or somewhere while you put the dye into the machine! (That's my mom and dad!)

Dad mixing up the dye- just follow the directions on the box! Empty the dye into the washer!

Then put your petticoat into the washer after you have put in the dye. We just put it in like normal clothing. I would not recommend putting it over the long white thing in the center because it gets twisted fairly easily!

Yay it's pink! Now you need to watch it closely- mine dyed pretty quickly.  Make sure you do not let it rinse at this point. We just left the lid open and that way it will not complete a cycle. Every ten minutes or so take it out and untwist it so that it won't look tie-dyed!! When you see the color you want let it go through a whole cycle-rinse, spin and all!
Take it out and hang it on a hangar over the shower or anywhere else that can withstand dripping- don't worry it should not drip pink or whatever color you want to dye yours!

It was actually pretty easy and a lot of fun! If you have a question feel free to comment and I will answer it! I can't wait to see what it looks like under my dress!!

Hanging my dress!

This is one of the first things I saw when I started planning our wedding. A picture of a dress with a word hanger... Can you say gorgeous? I loved this idea and so my mom ordered it for me as a gift and it came in the other day!!!!!!!!!

I love it so much that I am very tempted to hang my dress on it and take pictures- but I know Anna will do a great job with that when the time comes!!

It even has beads on it!

I ordered mine from buttonzandbloomz from etsy of  course! Thank you mom!!
