Snowed In!

Happy New Year's Eve! How exciting that we are about to start a wonderful new year! Colorado finally got a snow storm yesterday and we couldn't go try on bridesmaid dresses so below is what I worked on instead!

These are our favors and save the dates. We are giving out mini first aide kits for our favors and wrapping them in brown paper, tying it up with a pink ribbon and then we are going to stamp them but I will show you that later!!

We finally sent out all of our save the dates and are hoping that they get there because when we threw them in the mailbox we could hear the magnets stick to the side! O no!!

I also got a lot of packing done so that we can go back to Omaha tomorrow!

Have a Happy New Year, see you in 2011!!

Popping the Question!

So I was looking over my posts today and just realized I had not really told you about the proposal! Silly me! Anyway this was an incredible day and there was so much planning and thought put into it which made it that much more special!
On February 20,2010 my best friend asked me to marry him!!
At the time we were both on the Creighton Campus living in different locations but in campus living. I woke up to the sound of something or someone at the door. As I meandered over to the door there was a packet that had been slipped under the door. My heart skipped a beat as I opened the packet and found papers with clues on them- each one had a specific time to open it and a clever rhyme for each was inside!
Danny incorporated some of my friends, his little sister, and his upcoming best man into the proposal which made it even more special. The first clue was to meet Jenny- his sister (my soon to be sister in law) outside my dormitory and she took me to Starbucks and Noodles Inc for lunch. Then I opened the next clue and Julia walked in the door of noodles and we went and got a massage which was amazing. After our hour long massage Sam was waiting to take me for mani-pedi's where the whole salon was trying to figure out when he was going to propose!! Sam took me back to my room where I opened the last clue and waited for Luis, Danny's friend to drive me to where Dan was waiting. On the drive over Luis was so cute telling me that Danny was such and good guy and just kept going on and on about him!! What a great friend! Finally Luis drove me to the Old Market where Danny was standing in front of a horse drawn carriage. I flew out of the car and gave him a great big hug, he helped me into the carriage and we took a ride around the Old Market and then down by the river. The carriage stopped and we walked in the snow shivering all the way to the river where he got down on one knee and and asked me to marry him!! He said a bunch of wonderful things all of which I am sure he had been rehearsing and rehearsing but I just stood there half giggling at him (I probably looked idiotic) and now I cannot remember anything he said except will you marry me! It was magical and more than I could have ever asked for!!

P.S. I got my invitations in the mail today- it was like another Christmas present!!!

Holiday Baking Part 3

I bought too many M&M's and so I thought why not make M&M cookies!!

Daisy came in sniffing all around and begging me for some yummy food!!
These are for Santa!

Happy Holidays!!

Holiday Baking Part 2

I saw this on another blogger's blog and just had to try them!! She calls them pretzelies and they are quick and easy but best of all yummy!! Recipe at She Said Yes!
So you are supposed to get those square pretzels but for the life of me I just could not find them! So I just put a few together.

Then you put Hershey's Hugs on top and pop them in the oven at 350 for only one minute.

Next you put holiday M&M's on top of each of the hugs!
And put them on a pretty plate!! I love them!!

Go check out her blog here!!

Holiday Baking Part 1

Yesterday I really got into the Christmas spirit and started baking the day away!! I had been wanting to try to make these Oreo truffles that an aunt of Danny's had made for their family Christmas- they were absolutely wonderful!! So I found the recipe and gathered up all of my ingredients!!
This is just super easy to make all you need is:

- Chocolate Oreo package
- 16oz. Cream Cheese
- 2 Packs of Bakers semi sweet chocolate
- wax paper

Crushing the oreos- before you crush make sure to take out the middle or it will stick to the bag!
Mixing up the insides of the Oreos and the cream cheese.
Adding in the crushed oreo cookies!
Melting all the chocolate.

Now you roll the oreo mixture into little balls and dip in your melted chocolate! Yum!
Scrumptious looking truffles!

Packaged up nicely in a little box for Christmas!!

Hope you love them!! Stay tuned for more holiday baking!!

I'll Be Home For Christmas!

Danny finished his first semester in Medical School and is headed home to Colorado today and Daisy and I couldn't be more excited! After the holidays we will finally all be in Omaha together!

As promised I wanted to show you my finished flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow- I finished them up this morning and only have two hot glue burns.
The pillow is made out of floral Styrofoam and flowers. I even put my ring on it to give you a sneak peek!

For the basket I used hot glue hence the burns, and flowers!

I had a lot of fun doing these but the best part was watching my grandma while she watched me put these together! All she said was "O that is so pretty, O gorgeous!"

Tryin' on dresses...

Today I contacted David's Bridal and Bella Bridesmaid so that on the 30th of December three of my bridesmaids living in Colorado could go scope out dresses. I picked these two dress shops because I desperately want my bridesmaids to like their dresses and really wear them again!! I also want them all to feel comfortable in their dress and rock it out! So at these two locations I can pick out a color and they can pick out any dress they want-mismatched dresses!!

Flower Girl+Tutu= Just plain cute!!

This post is dedicated to my adorable little flower girl, her mom and I have known each other since we were babies and her grandmother and my mom are best friends!
I absolutely love this cute idea for a flower girl: a fun tutu!!
Love how this one is grey, one of our colors!

This one is more of a traditional dress but with some of the tutu feel!
In love with the head band!!
Unique fluffy thing!
There are just no words for this- it's just plain cute!
So sweet!

Have a great and amazing Tuesday! Good Luck on all those finals this week for those at Creighton!!
